Account & Data Deletion
You can request deletion of your NG Home account and personal data at any time. This page explains how to ask, what gets removed, and what we're required to keep.
01How to Request Deletion
NG Home doesn’t yet have a self-service “Delete Account” button in the app itself. Until it does, request deletion by emailing us from the email address on your account:
If you’re the only Society Admin for your society, let us know in the same email — deleting the last admin account also affects the society’s other members, and we’ll confirm with you before proceeding.
02What Gets Deleted
- Your name, email address, phone number, and password (hash).
- Your device push-notification token.
- Your session/login history and security logs tied to your identity.
- Your personal profile link to any society you belonged to.
03What We Retain, and Why
Some records can’t be deleted outright even on request, because they belong to the society’s shared financial history, not just to you individually:
This mirrors standard practice for financial record-keeping apps: personal identity is deleted or anonymized, but the underlying financial ledger a society needs for its own audits and accounts is preserved.
04Timeline
We process deletion requests within 30 days of verifying your identity. You’ll get a confirmation email once it’s complete.
05Deleting Specific Data Only
You don’t have to delete your entire account to remove specific information — for example, you can ask us to correct or remove a particular helpdesk request or note. Email us with what you’d like changed and we’ll handle it without closing your account.
